I’m delighted to announce that this year, I am organising a collection appeal to ensure no child across Pontypridd and Taff Ely goes without this Christmas.

We all know it’s been an extremely tough year for families across the country. The rising cost of living crisis is having a huge impact, and I know the concerns of having enough money to cover every day essentials is something many people are worried about this Christmas.

I’m launching my Christmas appeal to support those families who have been forced to make difficult sacrifices this year.

From Friday 21st October you may see donation “bins” pop up in local supermarkets and stores across the constituency. If you are in a position to donate a soft toy, or small gift, suitable for a young child then you can drop these off at one of the locations listed below.

The drop-off points will be open until Monday 5th December. At this point, donations will be collected and distributed to good causes across the constituency, in time for Christmas Day.

Ideas for gifts may include:

• Soft/cuddly toys
• Pens/pencils/felt-tips
• Stickers/craft/activity books
• Reading books (age 12 max.)
